Since its debut in manga form in 2020, CHIIKAWA has quickly gained popularity and become a global phenomenon IP. Creative brand AllRightsReserved (ARR) is collaborating with Spiralcute International, the official licensee of CHIIKAWA, to present the large-scale exhibition 'CHIIKAWA DAYS' from August 1st to 24th, 2025, for a period of three weeks. The exhibition will take place at K11 MUSEA and the waterfront in Tsim Sha Tsui, featuring a gathering of classic characters and offering a fully immersive experience in 'clothing, food, housing, and transportation' for the audience. Several outdoor giant inflatable sculptures will also be displayed, allowing visitors to explore the daily lives of CHIIKAWA and friends. Illustrator Nagano has also created a Hong Kong 'Yum Cha' limited series, featuring CHIIKAWA and friends as adorable classic dim sum dishes such as shrimp dumplings and siu mai.
The 'CHIIKAWA DAYS' large-scale exhibition is grateful to have the support of multiple units and institutions, including the chief sponsor, Manulife Hong Kong; sponsors MTR Corporation and Octopus Cards Limited; supporting institutions Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Hong Kong Tourism Board; and McDonald's as the McCafe supporter. CHIIKAWA and friends will be seen all over Hong Kong through collaborations with various partners, with the Hong Kong Tourism Board bringing the highly localized 'Yum Cha' series to different corners of the city. More details on the collaborations will be announced later.
CHIIKAWA Resonates with Modern Audiences
The popularity of CHIIKAWA stems not only from the cuteness of the characters but also from the relatable stories. The narrative revolves around the daily lives of three friends who support each other through ups and downs. They face challenges and difficulties but remain resilient, providing a sense of comfort and encouragement to the audience. In Hong Kong, a city known for its fast-paced lifestyle and heavy work pressure, the story of CHIIKAWA has become a sanctuary for countless individuals to reconnect with their inner softness. The adorable art style also reflects the challenges of real life, and this contrast is part of its charm.
Three Paid Exhibition Areas Recreate Classic Scenes and Interactive Experiences
